The Huawei OptiXstar W617C is a GPON upstream Wi-Fi 7 ONU that provides one GE port and 2.4 GHz & 5 GHz Wi-Fi 7 functions on the user side. The new Wi-Fi 7 technology greatly enhances user experience on wireless networks. It can be used for wired access and Wi-Fi coverage in schools, healthcare centers, hotels, apartments, and enterprises.

- Built-in smart antennas: automatically adjust the coverage direction and signal strength using an intelligent switchover algorithm, providing accurate and stable coverage as devices move.
- Fit AP and Fat AP modes: supports both operating modes to adapt to different deployment scenarios.
- Zero roaming: allows multiple APs to form a group with the same BSSID, SSID, and channel, operating as a single virtual AP and eliminating the need for roaming when moving within the group.
- Advanced technologies: compatible with 4096-QAM, Multi-RU, MU-MIMO, and OFDMA for higher transmission speed and lower latency than Wi-Fi 6.
