The EXFO FTB-LITE-730D-SM8 OTDR is a dedicated Optical Time Domain Reflectometer with permanent mobile connectivity, optimized to perform any passive optical network (PON) and metropolitan network testing in the most efficient, compliant, and secure manner.
Fiber optics increasingly plays an important role in modern telecommunications networks. The requirements for construction, testing, and maintenance of FTTx/MDU links are becoming more prominent. Therefore, the FTB-LITE-730D is designed to solve issues such as lack of procedure compliance, inefficient processes, and delays. It can be used for the characterization, troubleshooting, and activation of both active and dark fiber through the same OTDR port.
The rugged design, with an 8-inch color touchscreen (sunlight-readable) and patented iOLM technology, turns complex tests into automated "Pass/Fail" results with a single touch, eliminating manual trace interpretation and transforming any technician into an expert.
