Application TV05891

VP cables are very suitable for installation in ducts or as façade distribution cables and in places where rodents may be present and a dielectric cable needs to be installed. They can be installed by blowing or pulling. Glass yarn reinforcement provides moderate rodent protection. Please refer to the Installation Guide; ask for it at our Sales office.

Cable desing

  • Central Resistant Element (ERC): Glass fibre reinforced plastic insulated with polyethylene if necessary.
  • Loose tube: thermoplastic material, containing optical fibres filled with a sealing compound.
  • Passive elements: thermoplastic rods.
  • Wiring: loose tubes and passive elements wired in SZ around the ERC.
  • Longitudinal sealing: moisture absorbing elements (dry core).
  • Dielectric reinforcement and armouring: glass yarns.
  • Outer sheath: black high density polyethylene. A tear cord under the cover.
