EYDFA Amplifier (Erbium-Ytterbium Doped Fiber Amplifier) to amplify the 1550nm wavelength with built-in WDM multiplexer.

This EYDFA amplifier (2U) is a high-performance, high-power, low-noise multi-port optical amplifier with a gain spectrum band within 1530-1565 nm. A WDM multiplexer is incorporated into each output port for the optical amplifier. Each external link optical port of the optical amplifier can be connected to the PON OLT port. Each 1550nm (CATV) optical output port is multiplexed with 1310/1490 nm to reduce the number of components and improve system reliability.

This optical amplifier can be compatible with any PON technology for FTTx. It offers a flexible and low-cost solution for integrating triple-window networks (data and CATV) and fiber to the home.

Features

  • The OLAHW is a fiber amplifier and a power supply integrated into a 1RU and 2RU rack. Multiple output ports can be chosen. It has been designed for CATV and passive optical network (PON) applications including HFC and RFoG.
  • The OLAHW incorporates electrical control circuitry with a digital processor and includes photodiodes for monitoring the input and output optical power through tap couplers.
  • It adopts EYDFA technology, applied to triple-play systems and FTTH.
  • Multiple outputs, CWDM inserted, OLT PON input and output port installed on the front panel.
  • The dual cooling system can protect the laser pump for long-term operation.
  • RJ45 and RS 232 ports, SNMP management system.
  • Good stability, VFD displays operating conditions, good alarm system to detect problems.
