The PROLITE-105 laser light source emits light at three wavelength that are used to transmit data through optical fibre on FTTx networks: 1310, 1490 and 1550 nm. In combination with a power meter (such as PROLITE-67). Usually this measure is required to certificate telecommunications infrastructures.
Using hotkeys the desired wavelength is activated, with the possibility of generating a modulated or continuous signal. Through another key sequential operation mode is activated, so as to successively emit the selected wave lengths.
In sequential mode the device is transmit the selected wavelengths sequentially.
Modulation: This feature allows modulate each wavelength with a different frequency, so that the power meter automatically identifies each wavelength.
Sequential mode: This feature, combined with modulation, allows to perform all tests with a single operator and minimizes the chances of error.
PROLITE-105 working in concert with the PROLITE-67, determines the optical power of each wavelength and consequently the installation losses.
With a single operator can be performed all the optical network measures: After connecting the PROLITE-105 to the optical network and activate the sequential mode, the operator can move to the other end of the network to determine the losses of the network in PROLITE-67.
